Spurred by the various "smart thermostat" threads like this one, I've just bought a semi-smart ZigBee thermostat (this sort of thing) to add to my home automation network. It's going to be replacing a 20-year-old Drayton RTS.
I'll let you know how it goes!

So, is it wired or wireless? :/

Would be interested in knowing what the chipset is inside and whether it can be flashed with something like ESPHome.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

In between my old Heatmiser Prog Stat - which annoyingly would lose (or gain?) time - and my current Hive which I am happy with, I did fit one of these all-in-one (WiFi built in, so no hub required) Smart Prog Stats - looked very like the Zig, but could have been Tuya make.
It worked, but I found a few issues. One was the hysteresis - the temp-holding accuracy. Can't recall what the actual figure was, but it felt noticeably laggy, so would allow larger temp swings around the set temp than felt comfortable - it might have been something like +- 0.5 degree, so actually allowed a whole degree before switching back on. Something like that, but you should be able to check yours in its specs.
Another issue was the restricted prog settings. Weekends only allowed a couple of temp/timings, I recall. That can obviously be checked for your model, and it may not be an issue for you anyway. And the other issue I had was the glitchy App software - can't recall which one it was (it was a generic 'Smart Home Control' App, and not really specific for the Tuya), but it was both crude to use and prone to freezing. Again, the Zig's App could be a lot better, especially if it's tailored to the Zig.
It was a fancy and attractive piece of kit, and astonishing for the money, but the Hive tramples all over it.
This was around 3-4 years ago, so hopefully much improved. Looking forward to updates :-)
