No thermstat on boiler. Is it possible to install one?

A couple of points from that pic. The first is the timer having a section for DHW - on a combi. Weird, until I looked it up for a similar recent thread - the DHW timer is for the 'preheat' feature. Nice.Leard91 said:
The other is the sight of two cables coming out its bottom.
Learn, could you confirm if there are, please? And, where do they go?1 -
The money saving solution which I did was to fit a Danfoss RMT 230 manual thermostat. £15 on ebay and no recurring cost as no batteries to buy.0

it's a built in thermostat, for the CH water. will go from 40-80 ish degrees Cmarkin said:0 -
it's possible to access the required terminal block without breaking the combustion chamber seal, so you don't actually need to be GS reg to fit a thermostat.FreeBear said:
It certainly looks that way. If it were possible to access the terminal block without removing the casing, I'd say "go ahead". But the minute you remove the casing, you need to be Gas Safe registered.markin said: You have to remove the case it seems, So needs a Gas safe person? Probably a 20min job when its being serviced.

I'd imagine most boilers are like mine - the front panel is purely decorative. My GW's is held on by only two screws, and then lifts off. The front control panel then hinges forwards, and gives access to all the electrical connections.
That is surely a standard design - t'would be nuts to have the PCB and controls within a combustion-controlled area, and double-nuts for your sparky to refuse to write a boiler 'cos they ain't GasSafe.
Anyway, the instructions will hopefully make this clear.0 -
I have a similar boiler with a similar dial for the boiler flow temperature. The manual says 35 to 82 degrees.FFHillbilly said:

ThisIsWeird said:Learn, how electrically competent are you. Can you wire a plug with your eyes closed?
And do you have a preferred Smart prog stat?
I have an electrician for a Dad fortunately, who can probably install it if I can't.

Did you read the manual? It clearly calls it a Room Stat, and is where you would wire in a remote room stat.FFHillbilly said:

One is just the mains that goes around the back. The other isn't an electrical cable. It's just the water feed.
