    Logon to their website as if you were going to pay (obviously don't!) to check the current status of the charge. Should be able to do that 24/7.

    Heard yesterday that our appeal was successful.  They seem to be suggesting that my wife entered the reg wrong - our reg ends with letter O so it's vaguely plausible a numeric 0 was entered.

    Good result. It's entirely possible to confuse the 0 and O on a tiny keypad.  Did you know that DVLA don't differentiate for VRM registration plate purposes, it's exactly the same digit that's used?
