  • When they ask for meter readings they want 6 digit ones not some arbitrary kwh usage from some arbitrary time
i guess i better go buy a triangle key and give up on technology that's gone backwards
my old SMET1 meter shoed the proper 6 digit readings this is stupid :¬(
but seems clever to hide this - so i have to just believe them

seems my message was 9 character to short so here is more text forum

    000056 then?
You say BG are getting your smart meter readings. What reading does BG have?
Edit: I've just checked my Geo Trio II. It reads 3268kWh. My meter reading is 3268. Or 03268, if you need five digits. Or 003268, if you need six.

I jsut checked my meter using the old school outside triangle and photo method
    Elec 000059 Gas 000011

I fell like such an idiot
that they have done in the trio and the new outside meters is
they have stopped reporting fractions just integer values

This confused me to death but you all were telling me this all along

Ty so much it has been an eye opener after getting a triangle key to look at the meters :¬)

I am so sorry to have bothed you all and i realy appreciate the time you took to help me

No need to apologise or feel bad, lots of things aren't immediately obvious if you haven't come across them before.  That's what the forum is for !
Remember that if you need to send a gas meter reading (e.g. if you switch to a new supplier) it needs to be in cubic metres (m3).  Some IHDs and smart meters also show the gas reading in kWh.  It's intended to be helpful, but it can cause massive confusion when a kWh reading is sent and it generates a bill that's more than ten times the correct amount.
