YouTube adblockers - AGAIN?

I realise that a thread on this has been previously closed, but discovered today that suggests YT is doing a go-around to sign up more premium members. As per previous advice I turned off my adblocker for their site, but then noticed a momentary re-enabling of the adblocker when trying to load their content from my laptop. (Curiously, they have not blocked previewing videos from the front page by hovering cursor over any).
Or am I not understanding something more (other browser extensions or interactions)?

AFAIK websites cannot enable/disable extensions.Extensions are enabled/disabled per site on a per computer basis. So you can have it disabled for YouTube on one computer and enabled on another one. Far as I know the likes of Mozilla accounts and Google accounts do not track the extensions you have, so even if you are signed into a Mozilla account it will probably sync the bookmarks and the passwords but not the extensions.Note that YouTube dynamically generates web servers for advert purposes, and the likes of uBlock and friends don't always catch this.0

I kept getting the warning from youtube about the adblocker I gad but couldn't see where you switch it off just for youtube. All the ads on other
sites are a nuisance (especially newspapers)..... I have had brave browser for about a week now...... been brilliant, no adblockers installed, only what is built into brave.

I find the ads really disruptive and annoyingly repetitive.I tend to mute the sound or take my headphones off when they appear. However, I suppose they have to make their money somehow, so freeloaders like me can watch stuff.1

Brave Browser here with uBlock for good measure and no alerts or adverts also.
I have never seen any adverts on youtube that apply to myself.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Lately I've been getting messages saying I have an ad blocker installed and YouTube won't play. Then I have to hit cancel or whatever & the video then plays. Only just started happening. Firefox is the browser.
Not sure what my ad blocker is. I know it's not Ublock though.0 -

Same here, with Firefox and like you, I just delete the warning, no idea how long this will continue but until then I'll carry on

Well as I'm at my PC, the ad blocker I'm using is AdBlocker Ultimate. A Firefox extension I got ages ago.
Wonder if there's Adblockers out there that have a workaround for now.
Wouldn't be too bad if you could click skip on these ads but some times you have to just sit there & endure it.
Then you can watch a video that's about 5mins long & has 150 ads. Annoying as hell.0 -
