Our Beko heat pump tumble dryer failed about 6 months after we got it (Dec 2024), but Beko have sent 5 engineers who have not yet been able to find the fault, so I can't get a refund or a replacement because according to them, there's 'No Fault Found'. But it doesn't work. So I'm feeling a bit stuck. Any advice?
Many thanksWelcome to the forum! It might be better to start your own thread on this, even though it is related to the one you've added to.Anyway, my question would be how come the 5 engineers can't find a fault when you say "it doesn't work"?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. And that's the question, isn't it? When we bought it, we'd put wet clothes in, choose a programme, and 3-4 hours later have dry clothes and a tank full of water. Then 6 months in it just stopped drying. Clothes go in, choose a programme, it tumbles, but the water stays in the drum, or drips out of the door. The timer stops counting down and after 6 or more hours the clothes are warm, still wet, and no water in the tank. But they can't figure out why. The air flow is normal. The pump is working. They thought it might be the thermistor so replaced that but still not working. So I don't know.0 -
this guy doesn't have a very good opinion of heatpump dryers - https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=heat+pump+tumble+dryer+vs+condenser+dryer&mid=F4200EC5150BBEDE6F0AF4200EC5150BBEDE6F0A&FORM=VIRE
And here is a possible reason for your problem - https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=heat pump tumble dryer vs condenser dryer&mid=AF754706FBBC8F727752AF754706FBBC8F727752&ajaxhist=0
We did consider one a couple of years ago but I sort of came to similar conclusions so we went for a bog standard condensing one instead.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1
