Be great if they have to pay that £670 now that the deadline date appears to have passed,  or will do soon if the Xmas break somehow extends it to sometime this coming week

Please let us know if or when it's paid   ( be interesting to see if it affects JB in any way,  or stops these foolish airport claims, but I supposeitsmorelikelythatpigsmight fly  )
If it doesn't get paid by the 6th then I'll be contacting a debt collection agency ... and the bailiffs as it is over £600  :D

@stop_this_nonsense do you have the example of how you broke down the costs for your £670 award please? (Can't see it in the thread. I see other awards have been about £90/95. I want to make sure I use a method that has a good chance of success.

Did you get any success recovering the debt ?

No - the parking firm is objecting to it, as the thread tells you.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would just be honest about what your outlay is. For me it was the time spent on drafting the WS, but I needed to cover all bases in my WS as there was no clear cause of action! It made it complex for me. Costs were for claimant completely wasting my ( and the court's) time having me complete a WS when the claimant had discontinued without serving notice.

Hi there. Wondering if I need to do anything re this Application. There is plenty that VCS raise in their WS that can be easily batted away but not sure if I have a voice at this hearing.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanks in advance!

Yes you do. Take the day off and attend with your proof of costs and a chronology of their unreasonable conduct.

This is a preliminary hearing to consider if they have grounds to appeal. They'll send a legal rep to walk all over it if you are not there. You must be there to show that the first Judge did not fall into error and was entitled to award you costs under the circumstances.

Sorry i've been busy with family things but will come back to you this week.

  • Great news! Thank you.

Have booked the day off and have written up the main points to discuss.
  • Quick question.

Am I permitted to submit a Witness Statement to the Court for the Application Hearing?
