Hi Guys,
I must admit I’m not the most tech savvy, but I’m looking to reduce a few household bills and I’m looking at how much I currently pay Sky for my broadband - and if I can get a better deal/price elsewhere.
I’ve been with Sky for years - I spoke with them on Thursday and they have advised I currently pay £39.50 a month for my boradband.
The package I have is something called FTTC, and basically they say I get a guaranteed minimum download speed of 48.6mbps and my “normal speed” is 53.7mbps.
Most of that means little to me, but I’d just like to know from any helpful members are sky fleecing me at £39.50 a month for my broadband internet / and if so can you please recommend any other provider/deals??
I told sky I was reviewing all my bills and they said if I accepted to stay with them for another 18 months they would reduce my cost from £39.50 to £34.50 (£5 saving each month).
any help is welcomed please.

A good place to start is the MSE broadband guide and the companion MSE bb comparison pages. For my postcode at least there are some good alternatives to Sky at a much lower monthly cost.
Tell them what you find and Sky may even come down a bit further to match t!heir rival and keep your custom. If they don't, switch to a better deal.0
