Carbon fiber ring

Hi, about a year or two ago I bought a ring from an american jeweler called James Allen via their website. Unfortunately just recently my ring got stolen of me and I was wondering if they refuse to send out a new one, what rights do I have as an international customer and the consumer rights acts or something similar to that?

Thank you !

Why would they send you a new one because yours was stolen 🤔
  • How is it the retailers fault it was stolen?

    None at all.

If you purchased from an American site the Consumer Rights Act will very likely not apply and any compang/trader can choose whether or not to do business with another individual/legal entity so long as any decision is not based on breaching a protected characteristic.

Why do you think it might be an issue?
  • Not sure I understand your question.   If something gets stolen you are expecting the retailer to replace it?

Is this something to do with replacing it via an insurance claim?
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

  • Perhaps the question is whether the retailer is compelled to sell a new one?  Otherwise, it makes no sense.

Talk to your insurer, that's the only option.

Why would CRA cover a stolen item?
