Esmeralda, I confess that I giggled at you having to clean up the spilt blood from your car because of the MOT! Hope you've managed to get the cause of the pain removed.

Today I am grateful for a fab parents evening for dc earlier this week, for chatting with some lovely people at the localish indoor market, for my home, for fresh bed linen, for dh who always preps the coffee at night so I only need to light the gas in the mornings.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!9

Thanks, @apple_muncher, I went to the minor injuries unit and after x-raying my hand they couldn't find any more splinters in my finger. They cleaned the wound and dressed it for me with the hope it will get better over the weekend. Lovely staff at hospital and only took a couple of hours. Place was heaving when I left so timing was everything!
Car passed it's MOT with 2 minor advisories so really pleased with that.
Forgot to say I had a red DVLA reminder that my tax expired end Oct. I've never had one of these in my life so think it was a combination of no reminder letter and the fact I bought this car last November after my car crash and wasn't thinking straight due to concussion. Paid online immediately so all sorted.
In bed now. Grateful for finger being checked over and them not having to cut it open, friends and family showing their concern for me and my car passing it's MOT.
Night night x

@Toni'sfriend - Don't get me started on people making errors now. There are days when making corrections is all that I do. I am like you and I try to suggest a different direction for the errant branch on a family tree. I have been known to look up the correct one and let them know what it is. The error problem has increased which is why I am checking documents for everyone.
I made it to the cardiologist yesterday. Not too good - he is giving me further tests, but it looks like Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), even with the rapid weight gain. I knew I hadn't changed my eating that much, I was even eating less some days and still gaining weight.
Supposed to avoid stress - ha. With my roommates. Will need to take up meditation.
We have had a quiet Thanksgiving. Just the three of us plus the dog. The other three roommates are eating separately. But the food was great - cooked by roommate G.
Not going anywhere today. Not shopping online either. So NSD13.
Today I am grateful for being able to do a lot of family history on the computer, finally getting appointments with cardiologist and gastro person, having a roommate that cooks, having a roof over my head, and a bed to sleep on.
Have a good day today. Join the Buy Nothing People on Friday if you can.11 -
apple_muncher said:ldee, if you only bought fuel, then you keep your NSD!Today I am grateful for getting all the shopping done (how much???), for a virtual gym class, for finding some cellophane wrap, for dc having another go at making bread (using in-date flour this time 🤣), for a message from a friend.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8

Apple thanks for running the challenge in November. It's been a proper November of a month to get through. I seem to have earned a day to get caught up on my freelance work paper work so will do that and potentially a round of gardening this afternoon. Happy Friday all.
Ps Happy Thanksgiving yesterday.

Have you ever had one of those days that starts off really well and that totally disintegrates? That's me today. Started off brilliantly. Walked to health centre to pick up repeat prescription which has taken three days to process but I was assured by phone call this morning it was ready for collection. Got to chemist. Doctor hadn't signed it. So all the way back to get that done. On the way to shopping centre Himself lost his hat. Retraced our steps. Nowhere to be found. Grumble, grumble, grumble but I've ordered him another. Needed to get cash for a payment. Debit or credit card won't do. All the ATMs had run out of cash, Sitting here with a large gin (a very large gin). Ah well. lets face it, things are a lot worse for an awful lot of people. At the end of the it's only an annoyance and you have to keep that in mind. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9

This time next week it will be December. As usual I have nothing done for C-word, although I do still have three jars of micemeat bought in summer for mice pies - about 10p a jar! and 2 bottles of mulled wine too. Oh I feel much more prepared now!Had to buy washing up liquid and carrots, so lost my no spend day, never mind. Sticking on NSD 16.Brrr it feels cold today.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Forgot to post yesterday but had a couple of small spends, including needing a stamp to send a speeding notification thingy to the police. Big oops there. Work is very tiresome, it's the same story pretty much every day dealing with other departments and it's getting super demoralising I have to say. Rarely a manager to be seen either.
Today was more of the same. I did manage to do some yoga this morning before I left for work, can definitely feel the drop in temperature but am usually pretty warm when I wake up so trying not to have the heating on first thing if I know I'm going out. What a cheapskate
