Entitled to Cost of Living Payment

My daughter has been on UC since August this year. She's on maternity leave and dropped to stat mat leave pay, hence the claim.
We can't figure out if she'll get the Cost of Living Payment and frustratingly, the DWP can't help either. She's not had a letter so we're assuming not? Can anyone advise, please?

Hi,0

Thanks - so the advice is "You are eligible for the Cost of Living Payment of £300 if you were entitled to a payment (or later found to be entitled to a payment) of Universal Credit for an assessment period that ended in the period 18 August 2023 to 17 September 2023"
Her claim went in on 14th August, with her first payment being received 8th September. So which date matters?0 -
What date did she submit her claim for UC?0
-
14th August 20230
-
So her assessment period will have ended on the 13th September, which means she's just snuck in the qualifying time period
(since her assessment period needed to end anywhere between 18th Aug to 17th September)

Oh OK so that means she should get it? That would be amazing. Should we be concerned she's not had a letter confirming this?0
-
Yes she should get it.
No need to worry about not getting a letter, I've just looked back in my UC journal and they haven't told me about any Cost of Living payments, and they don't send physical letters to people on UC.
If she doesn't get it by 20th November she'll be able to report it as missing https://www.gov.uk/guidance/cost-of-living-payment#find-out-how-to-report-a-missing-cost-of-living-payment1 -
