3G Mobile BT

Hi I am a pensioner , and have older 3G mobile,. BT are stopping 3G soon, so no Mobile Data!.

I feel we are been forced to buy New Mobile Phone, which we can not afford.

not just BT but all the operators - you haven't been singled out for special treatment just because you are a pensioner.

As it happens I've been a pensioner for over eleven years but I really don't think that all the whinging that pensioners do really helps their cause all that much. Just my opinion you understand but it really annoys me when people start their threads with the "I'm a hard done by pensioner and it's not fair" etc.

Those that paid NI and put a bit of effort into getting their own pension in many cases are a lot worse off than those who didn't and so become eligible of all the other benefits that the rest of us can't get. Including "social tariffs" , as well as a cornucopia of others which the rest of us have to not only pay full price for but to contribute to the benefits that others get. In many cases those on benefits have more disposable income than those who aren't because a lot of their costs are covered.

Agree that using "pensioner" as a catch-all for not having a great deal of money is sadly common and lazy (IMO)

If you are anything like me, there is a perfectly servicable old phone for free whenever I need an upgrade from all the younger relatives collections of old phones.
