Using my search method, first one I found was: -

    There will be others.
  • Thank you Le_Kirk.

Apart from the one you posted above, I still cannot find other relevant robust responses (even if I use the same search method).

In my case I did overstay but never realised that ANPR's were in place and I never left the vehicle. I was on a call in the vehicle for the entire duration of the stay in the car park. I also saw somewhere that the specific airport parking (Stansted McDonald's/Starbucks) relates to BP (where MET Parking are saying the vehicle was - and quite possibly it was).

Any further suggestions for what a robust response should include? The LoC was dated Oct 6th btw.

    Many thanks

There was one posted today so it should be on page one or two of the forum.  Being in the vehicle is still parking unless you were loading/unloading passengers.  Also read a few other posts concerning Stansted and not relevant land, providing you haven't identified the driver.

I'm amazed that forum searches aren't finding any.  I find dozens when I search.

    Try

  • Hi all. Thanks for the replies. While I did find some robust replies with the above suggested search, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that they are not very relevant to my specific situation, as the pcn I received was for an overstay. Besides, it is now more than a week after the elapsed 30 days since their LOC (DCB Legal LOC is dated Oct 6th). Do you think it's still worth sending some sort of robust response or should I just wait for the County Court claim form?

Thanks again and apologies for the delayed posts.

Nah, get on with your life and await the claim. They are so easy to beat there's no point wasting time on it yet.

  • Eventually, the proper letter of claim from the court came this morning. First question is: the alleged contravention took place in Sept 2019. Can they still take this further? I thought that after 5 years they can't

    Six years.

If you have something from the court, then it isn't a 'Letter of Claim' it's a claim form. See NEWBIES thread.

Show us the claim form with the 4 redactions seen in every other claim thread (read a few first).

  • Sorry. Yes it's a claim form. Apologies for the wrong term and thanks for clarifying about the number of years

What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?

If you have filed an Acknowledgment of Service, upon what date did you do that?
Your MCOL Claim History will have the definitive answer to that question.
