Which shaver and/or razor/clippers that wont clog?

Clogging is the bane of my shaving experience. I usually spend about 80% of my time trying to clear the clogging rather than shaving. Sometimes shaving can take as long as an hour or more.
Bics seem worst for this. I havent tried many others for years. I bought a 3 razor one the other day which seems somewhat better.
I tried buying those circular electric shavers, a cheap one from ebay, once and while it was quick to shave my head it then took about 15-30 minutes of really fiddly work to try and clean out all the gunk beneath the cicular shaving blades.
Fellow shavers, please tell me there is a better way.
My beard hair doesn even grow very fast and only have cause to shave once every couple of weeks however I have some to groan at the experience for aforementioned reasons.
I like to shave my head to number one level or if I found a good shaver would use that instead as my wahl is on its last legs after 15 or more years of faithful service.

Good old fashioned safety razor works for me. It also has the advantage of cheap plastic free blades. Best used with shaving soap and brush not the stuff that comes out of an aerosol.1

I guess not so well as I didnt stick with it, could have been an issue with blades or improper use though for sure. How long can hair be to still be effective? Will it still work as well for shaving scalp after two months of growth? Which is about 1.5cms length or would it get clogged being too long then and better to use another tool for the job?

I've used a Gillette for years now. Buy one off somewhere like Amazon with as many spare blade heads as you can afford. I'll typically use the same blade head for maybe a month, shaving maybe twice a week. BIC disposables were always rubbish in my experience. It's worth spending a bit more for a decent one, and the replaceable head ones are more environmentally friendly than a disposable one. I also have a Gillette electric shaver which i occasionally use if I'm in a rush - again, worth spending a decent amount if you are going to use it.
Here's my take - If you are getting clogged up, the usual reason is that you are leaving it too long between shaves. It's that simple I think. Either shave more often or don't shave. Does your electric shaver have one of those flick out trimmers? You could use that to trim first so there's less to clog up your razor.1 -

I think the multi bladed one is gillette and claims up to 44 shaves for the pack of 4.What is a flick out trimmer? The trimmer I used - cheap chinese ebay jobby - was a good quickish shaved but, as mentioned, the clogging took up most of the time cleaning it after.0 -
I have just started using a Pitbull (Platinum) for my (bald) head - use it for approx 90secs (depends on how big your head is I guess
)and I use it every other day and use clippers (eg Wahl) for a moustache as the Pitbull doesn't seem to like any hair over a quarter of an inch long.

"why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
...and then it hits me

If you're only shaving once every couple of weeks then the chances are that the oils from your pores and from the products you use are drying up and essentially gluing the cut hair between the blades.Make sure you thoroughly clean and rinse whatever you use every time after each shave1

The key to keeping the wet multi bladed razors unclogged is to clean them straight after use in very hot water either running under hot tap with water running from rear or in a shallow sink of water with rapid too and fro motion. Not very mse.
Id consider myself rich if I could have a new blade every day. Instead I use a Philips 3000 just an average shave every day but never cloggs.

I do the rapid motion in the cold water but all for naught the stuff doesnt budge unless serious scraping, usually with the blade cover, unsues, taking up much more time than the shaving time.As stated, however, the shave time was much reduced moving from the single blader bics to a 3/4 (?) bladed gillette.Wow the phillips 3000 is £150 now that is certainly not very mse!The electric shavers I used were also a similar affair of being horrendous clog wise as all the hair gunk just gums up behind the blades of those circular recesses and are probably even harder to clean than the bics. Dont have much experience with electrics though as only tried a cheapy so unsure if more pricy ones have tried to mitigate the clogging or cleaning issues.0 -
For my bald head, I have a https://www.amazon.co.uk/Clippers-Professional-Haircutting-Powerful-Supplies/dp/B000VVT94G from 2009 and still going strong! It's not suitable for running under the tap, I do use a brush and then apply clipper oil for next time.
For my beard, I have a Philips 5000 and do find that it does have a design fault, it gets clogged far too easily. Plus side, it requires only 1 attachment and I can run the device under the tap after but still annoying.0 -
My electric shaver has a flick up trimmer like this. I use the trimmer first if I haven't shaved a while.
