Apart from one D shaped toilet that needed a different seat, all the others I've had over many years have been the same type/shape - any adjustment is made by the hinges

Right, I'm on a roll with toilet stuff … and getting back onto this.

It's a Savoy toilet, photo below.

It looks as though the seat hinges may be about 16cm apart..

Outer dimensions 35cm wide, hinge to front perhaps 40cm.

Inner dimensions 26cm wide, length 31cm.

Off I search …

Many replacements now have hinges which can be adjusted to fit and a seat and which clips on and can be removed completely for cleaning, Really handy.
