NatWest application online message

I had a few NatWest cards appear on my Cleascore offers at the start of the month when the new report appears, all showing pre-approved.
Travel, 2 x balance transfers etc.
Tried my luck with one and got accepted after the photo ID verification bits with a credit limit of around £2200.
Far better interest than my existing "sub-prime" type card (started at £200 about a year or two ago), so will probably get rid of that, or just use it occasionally.
(My one default dropped off a month or two ago, and 3 Erudio Student loans CCJs drop off in Dec / Jan)
Added: not sure if down to Royal Mail, but just got the card and the pin number delivered together (2 separate envelopes).
Not really a good thing if someone intercepted both.0 -
I had had this called them up and it was to do with the fact I was using my work laptop to make the application. I was put through to the fraud team and they removed the internal markers which then allowed me to make the application online.0

Just to update here, Natwest have now advised (though it says absolutely nowhere on their website or t&cs) that a user can have 4 soft searches in 1 day, 8 soft searches in 1 week, and 12 soft searches in 1 month. If the customer surpasses this limit, they can not apply again for 6 months. So not good if you have errors or a time out and inadvertently go over their internal limits.0

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
