Missed appeal deadline and received DCBL notice of debt recovery (Edmonton Green - Highview Parking)

I read through the NEWBIES thread pretty soon after receiving my two PCNs, but misread and thought I should've waited 26 days to appeal (this was for windscreen notices, not postal). Unfortunately got caught up with other stuff and completely forgot to appeal and appealpcn.co.uk is saying the deadline has passed and its been referred to collection agents. I received a notice of debt recovery  from DCBL last week giving a 14 day payment deadline before legal action is recommended to Highview - am I correct in thinking the best move now is to appeal to POPLA?

Thanks in advance

    Hello and welcome.

You cannot appeal to PoPLA without a code supplied by the parking company when they refuse your earlier appeal to them.
    Forget PoPLA.

The fourth post of the NEWBIES thread explains exactly how to deal with debt collectors letters, but to summarise that post - ignore them.

You my friend are at the start of a scam from DCBL
At the moment it's just a 14 day debt collection letter adding fakes

No. That ship sailed when you missed deadlines.

You just see it off at court stage. Dead easy.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
