Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity

Good afternoon,

I have 2 adult children living at home, one aged 25, and the other is 38 who are both on the above.

My question is, do they have to pay the non-dependant deduction or are they exempt and are we entitled to more council tax reduction for them?

Any non-dependant deduction would be from your benefits, not theirs.  They would have to claim the daily living or care component of PIP or DLA to be exempt.  What benefit(s) do you claim?

Council Tax Support rules vary by council.  But I don't think there's anything to automatically get a discount for people claiming LCWRA in their UC.  Discounts are usually for circumstances (such as a single person), exemptions based on being a student or carer or SMI, or based on income which would only apply to the two adults named on the CT bill.
