This is obviously the key line but it doesnt state £1500 plus vat anywhere that I can see0 -
It's a hard lesson but financially paying is the best thing moving forward. Chalk it up to experience.

I'd find the money and pay it.
As per jlfrs01's comment, i'd be getting a 0% credit card to spread the cost of it out if its difficult to pay in full now.
The leasing company will have had to order and commit to the vehicle though.
So chances are they're getting it anyway, and now have no customer for it.0
