Carpet non delivery - eligible for refund?

Hello,
I ordered a carpet on 11th September from a local carpet shop (not a chain store).
They said they'll call the arrange delivery - they never did. I repeatedly called and was often told "we'll call you back tomorrow" which would never happen.
Eventually I got fed up and got through over the phone and asked for a refund. Suddeny the carpet was in stock and they arranged delivery for Thursday last week.
I waited in all day Thursday and noone came. Noone answered my calls, voicemails or texts. It's Monday now and still no replies.
Just checking I'm in my right to ask for a refund - I didn't know if because carpets were ordered according to measurements it falls under personalised products so the rules of refund are different?

If you bought in person, there is no right to refund, unlike online.Life in the slow lane0

Give them a firm deadline of, say, another week (depending on how much you actually still want the carpet) and tell them you insist on a refund if they don't. If they don't do this voluntarily do a chargeback. As it's a local shop why not go in and speak to someone?1

This is covered under Delivery of Goods:
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2015/15/section/28
As the contract did not state a time for delivery the trader must deliver within 30 days, as they have failed to do so you may request delivery within another timeframe that is reasonable for the circumstances (they claim to have the carpet so I would give them until this coming Friday) whilst noting if they do not meet your deadline you shall treat the contract at an end and be entitled to a full refund. Best to put that in writing (letter, email, messenger, etc) so you have a record.
If it was made clear when you ordered the carpet that the delivery within a set time was essential you may bypass another date and simply treat the contract at an end now.
If you paid by card @born_again might be able to tell you if a chargeback is possible and how long you'd have to wait for an order with no set delivery date before being able to file.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
yes Chargeback possible.
15 days Visa, 30 days Mastercard from debit date.
But as ever retailer could dispute.
But as per other poster, if local go in & talk to them.Life in the slow lane1
