I've had a GAS white knight dryer for 8 years and I can't imagine life without it. Although they're more expensive to buy, the running costs are excellent.0

Have just fitted up a new condenser dryer today - bought off Tesco where you are getting triple points on some electrical goods and also had code for 999 points - total points received 1671. I dont buy anything other than Hotpoint - this one was £224 but does 7kg - the drum is massive!!!!! Possibly worth a look.Every days a School day!0

I just ordered a Zanussi from Pixmania (http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/631576/art/zanussi/zan-zdc46130w-condens.html).
Ordered last night, delivery booked (via Currys Home Delivery service as Pixmania is now part of DSGi) for 28th December.
Total delivered was £197 (used £5 code as well) - cheapest elswhere was currys at £249.
"only" a 6KG drum but at 3.7Kwh very economical to run for the price.0 -

I'd go with phanco and get the Zanussi. We are planning to buy a new fridge freezer washing machine and dryer, we have never used a dryer before. I was thinking go for this one. Argos sell that dryer for £199 in the sales. I think I am going to go for that one, being a moneysaver, I'd like to get a low energy one. Or I will get a higher model.
I was going to get the A rated White Knight but it is misleading. You can only take advantage of its low energy by letting it run for 8 HOURS:eek:   in the night and I don't want to let it run because I need clothes dry quick and it doesn't look safe too.0 -
I am thinking of getting a dryer too, so keep the comments and suggestions coming please

Don't get a Hotpoint condenser dryer. I got one about 6 months ago and my son can hear it up in the loft when it's on. Works fine, but the noise...!!0

That's not safe! I'd never leave a dryer on overnight, or when I was out of the house. I've had 2 go on fire (we were in at the time), and I knew someone whose kitchen was gutted after going out and leaving their dryer on.0 -
We're too looking for a dryer, something we've never had. Is the only difference between a condenser to a vented dryer is that the vented has the flexible flue to the outside and the condenser doesn't?
