It didn't work for me. Spoke with the app developer and agreed the Octopus Mini Home will help out with that.

I am not sure how? The mini shows import in real time but all of yesterday’s data is in the Octopus App. The app Octo-Aid is a good source of usage and cost information:

Relating to anyone on a smart tariff with any supplier.
Has anyone managed to get their supplier to provide smart tariffs to their IHD where there are two rates ( smart Tariff ).
My IHD has correct Standing Charge and IHD has correct peak tariff. ( doesn't display off peak )
It would be helpful if you could tell us which supplier and tariff you have.
For example, E7 is not a "smart tariff" but it does have two rates and I would expect the IHD to correctly display the current tariff; peak rate in the daytime, low rate during E7 hours.
On the other hand, Intelligent Octopus is a smart two-rate tariff and I wouldn't expect the IHD to know what rate applies when.

    Yeah sure.
I'm on Octopus Go and have been for about 3 years. I do charge my EV and solar batteries using that off peak rate. It seems the mart tariff wont be calculated correctly on my IHD and as suggested above I should apply for an Octopus Home Mini as they will give me the running cost accurately but displayed on my mobile phone app.
i'm also on Go. About 18 months ago, Octopus chose to configure my smart meter as though it was a conventional TOU tariff with separate registers for the two periods.
I realise this is unusual but it does mean my IHD knows what rate applies when! I don't know if Octopus could do something similar for you?

    Thank you.
I take it the screen shot is from Octo Mini?

You mention Octo-aid. I'm not seeing this pop up on Playstore?

No the screen is not from the Octopus Mini: it is Octo-Aid. I am not sure what you think the Mini will show. This is a screenshot from the Mini.

Ok, well thank you for highlighting all this. I'm going on intel from Octopus app employee ( octopus watch )
The Octopus Home Mini device is supposed to relay real time energy usage not just in kWh but also in cost relating to the tariffs ( peak and off peak ).
Is the Octo-Aid app on IOS or Playstore?

Searching has discovered this is an IOS device app only.

Also the Octoaid website makes reference to be able to read the data from the Octo Home Mini device. While I have neither of these it seems its the only way I will get this data and not have to wait 24 hours to look back at the retrospective cost which I have no real interest in from my current Octopus App or their website.

Thanks anyway for your help. Much appreciated and helped me understand why I can't get that at the moment.
