Does the letter mention anything about a compliance interview? I also say if you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about but i know that's easier said than done.

No it doesn't mention compliance . The top line says we have arranged to visit you and then goes onto say what I mentioned in my first post . No I have nothing to hide but suffer from generalised anxiety disorder and obsess about things so this will be in my headspace for 2 days now . I hate people visiting and don't invite even family over so to have a complete stranger knocking on my door is making me feel sick with anxiety

We had the same letter regarding my Mum.
    Everything was above board.

Presumed you are on Universal Credit.

Lack of engagement with Job Centre and Universal Credit.

You need to log into your UC claim and start communicating.

If you don't meet the terms of your claim, then you risk the benefit payments being affected.

If your health is stopping you from dealing with your claim, perhaps speak to family about needing an appointee to act for you.

If on other benefits, you should contact the benefits offices dealing with your claim and ensure your information is up to date.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Is any part of the ESA Income Related? You can ring the number on the letter to ask what it's related to and they will be able to give you more information.

No nothing is income related , so I can't understand . My award isn't up for renewal until Nov 2024 . I'll just have to wait and see

I wonder if there is the possibility of an income related element being added to the CB ESA.
    Possibly the severe disability premium.

Particularly if the OP has savings under £16k and no other income.

Yes, that's my thoughts too. I also wonder if this visit is just to check their benefits are correct and whether it could also be a benefits check (no idea if DWP do this sort of thing)

OP do you have any other income, pensions? living with a working partner? You say your ESA is all contributions based, if so then your weekly amount should be £129.50, is this how much you're receiving?

           They used to.

Some years back I attended (as a CAB worker) meetings arranged by the local Housing Association at which a DWP FAB team  (Financial Assessment & Benefits) also were present. They were trying to increase the take up of Pension Credit.

Not sure whether they still exist under the DWP banner though.
