Good afternoon,
I visited a dentist in September and parked in a car park that had a sign saying you couldn't leave the site. I came back and bought a Greggs deal as I thought that would be validate my reason for parking there as the Greggs was inside the carpark..

My question is, it arrived today, 15 days later, is that relevant and do I still have to pay the £60 charge?

Letter says Non Pofa MNPR and I was allegedly observed leaving the site.

Ask them to provide the proof. They wont be able to, hence it wont progress any further than a few scary looking letters from a quasi-debt collector.
  • I had a quick look online and there are photos of the alleged driver leaving the site?

Is that the best plan or would I be better appealing it? I am just a bit of a worrier and wouldn't want the thought of it hanging over me for the next six years.

Yes ignore them.  Tell them if you move house.

We wouldn't give you anything but the best plan. Why would you want to appeal when there is no earthly prospect of winning. If you went through the appeal process, inevitably losing, would your worry levels increase or decrease?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Why would i give you wrong advice
  • MNPR = multi-tasking, parking and security system. The cameras are connected by Fibre Optic communications and viewed from a purpose built studio .

Letter says Non Pofa MNPR and I was allegedly observed leaving the site.

POFA = Protection of Freedom Act 2012 which gives the parking operator who belongs to an ATA access to the DVLA DATABASE
Why would the DVLA give access to your data  if it's NON POFA

No doubt UKPCS can prove the border with a sign saying don't leave this area
OF COURSE NOT IT'S JUST A UKPCS MONEY SCAM

Well one legitimate reason is so that the parking company can ask the Registered Keeper for details of the driver.
  • ok, I will ignore it. Thank you for your help.
