Bank accounts that don't require you to make a 15 second video

On one hand we are constantly warned of fraud then we are expecting to give all this information to be checked by god knows who. Doesn't sit right with me.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

ETA: Looks like it was a photo not a video.0 -

So i thought i would close the account because they kept threatening to limit the service if i didn't make the video. I had a zero balance anyway.
You are supposed to be able to close the account via the app.
So i tried. I entered the PIN and got a little further, entered the PIN again as instructed and was told the PIN was incorrect!
It turns out, i would have to make the video just to close the account. Thus giving the information i did not want to give in the first place
My Revolut account has not asked for any additional security information. Nor has my MetroBank account.
I was wondering if any other online only banks had asked for this?
Are they any such demands on Starling, Chase and Kroo accounts?Almost ALL of the high street banks that still have bricks and mortars banks where you open an account via online rather than apps do not require you to do a selfie. But those online banks, when I requested a transfer of a few K from my account there to another account in my name, froze my banking until I went into a branch with proof of id "for my protection".Chase has asked me once to take a selfie because of some limits on the account, it was approved within a minute and so I believe that to be far more convenient. Apparently the approval was automatic - it was close enough to my previous photo but not identical.1 -
If it important enough to require photo ID is required i would prefer to just go to the bank.0

I have the FD app and have not been asked for any video. Maybe I will have that joy to come in future.
To clarify, at the moment they only ask for a video during the application stage 'KYC' checks, and then only via the app, I believe.
A selfie photo was required, but no video.0 -
Kroo requires a 30 second video0

Done this a couple of times recently. Most banks seem to be moving towards this requirement when applying by App.
I don't have a problem with it, and if you can get it to accept, it's no more than 10 seconds.... turn to left.. to right... say the three numbers on the screen. Much better than sending of ID.0 -
Zopa don't appear to need a video.0

It is frustrating when the applicant is disabled and not able to speak clearly enough to complete the verification. My son has had real struggles and took a long time to simply pass the selfie only applications as his eyes weren’t “looking straight/open enough”.1

I opened a Chase account the other day to use as a donor for switching in future. They took a photo of my ID and then I had to take a selfie. No requirement for a video, I just had to get it to recognise me smiling (which is difficult when I've got a permanent resting *unhappy* face)
