Claimant commitment

My wife is on esa support group but when she eventually has to move to uc will she have to have a claiments commitment interview?

    No, but they may book one, whilst the ESA information is transferred to UC. She will have to accept commitments either way. They may also tell her to obtain a fit note.

    Unless you're also claiming Tax credits she won't migrate to UC until at least 2028, unless a change of circumstances prompts a move in the meantime.

    Also managed migration only applies to those claiming Income Related ESA. Those that are claiming either New style ESA or the old contributions based will not be migrated across.

    I am right in saying they have changed the rules now so that even though we are on esa but not tax credits we will still have to migrate to uc by the end of 2025?

    No, they haven't yet changed the rules and they still remain as they are for now.

    Sorry to interperat I get ESA contribution based and was getting child tax credit. But have received letter of UC migration is this normal? Or should I have been contacted after 2028
