This is a potential massive financial shock.

Hi, I used mine last week and it didn’t go through but I assumed it was an error. Today I went back and the manager said it had discontinued. I regularly get mid-week stuff from here due to the convenience… and TOTUM discount! I thought they’d have made some kind of announcementLokiGinge said:My local Coop has said that Totum Card is no longer accepted by the Coop.

The Totum discount has been ended by Co-op Group, that's the biggest co-op that owns about 80% of UK co-op shops. It ended on 31st October, the tills will not accept the card.
Central Co-op run my local store and the Totum discount still works there and can be used with their scan & go app so automatically takes off the discount without needing to present your card if you save your card in the app.0 -
Just picking up on this old thread, from today, Tuesday 9th December 2025, the Totum discount card in no longer offering a 10% discount in Central Co-op stores - over two years later than Co-op Group stopped accepting it.
They have however partnered with Student Beans to offer an alternative 10% student discount proposition for those who qualify. Sadly, I don't. End of my 10% off the Co-op. It lasted well!
Central Co-op itself will also cease to exist next month, it is merging with Midcounties Co-op to form a new, bigger, national Co-op brand, as yet unnamed.

Oddly, my Totum discount was still working on Saturday but today I was refused. I guess I should be grateful I had an extra two months.
