You can change the names of each account to something you prefer. I always change mine to something simple so that I can't muddle them up as some of the savings accounts have similar names that are easy to confuse when moving money between accounts.0 -
They don't offer alerts on their credit cards - unlike most other card providers. They can waive the late payment fee once per year apparently but you're probably out of luck about the interest.
I ditched mine and moved to Barclaycard Rewards as I was only using it abroad and rewards also offers free overseas cash withdrawals in a crunch. Now just waiting for Google Pay when Barclaycard get their finger out.0 -
Nationwide’s credit card is operated by a third party provider so whilst you may think it obvious that they should be able to see you’ve sent the money to your savings account in error, in practice the credit card services can only see your credit card account and not any of your other Nationwide accounts.0

Perhaps a direct debit being set up is your solution here then.
With a missed payment marker now on 1 or more credit reports, it may make it difficult for you to swap banks (especially if going to another mainstream bank such as Lloyds, Santander, NatWest etc) as they will all conduct a Hard Credit search. It could be wise to stay where you are if you can and especially if you are declined a current account / Credit card with another bank. Too many hard searches have a big detrimental affect on the ability to obtain credit. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
