Beehive - Legit / Any good?

Hi all,
With the withdrawal of the NS&I bond (I literally just missed it today) I was looking for an alternative but I'm a bit loathe to transfer tens of thousands to a unknown but Beehive seem legit - part of Nottingham Building Society.
Has anyone got any experience with them? Any problems or concerns?
Many thanks.

Beehive Money IS The Nottingham Building Society. It's just a brand.

Its also legacy branding belonging to Lloyds Bank but they no longer use it externally but one of their arms does internally. Some old Lloyds Bank branches (or ex branches) have the beehive logo on their signage or carved in stone.TiVo_Lad said:Beehive Money IS The Nottingham Building Society. It's just a brand.
A bit of useless information but its Friday....

Yes. I've used it some years ago for some time when NottsBS launched this brand. Now using it again (2 regular savers and 1 year fixed bond). There's nothing wrong with Beehive.thundyuk said:Hi all,

Thanks folks. I did check the company number against the FCA for both Notts BS and Beehive, plus checked the sort code they gave me (Beehive is same as the NottsBS one) so it all looked good. Just a little nervous with the amount of money involved.
Thank you again.

From NS&I website: Postal applications received for a reasonable period will be honoured.thundyuk said:Hi all,

It's worth giving it a try.

Oh, sorry one more thing I see this message in the fixed bond account (with £0 in at the moment)
"Quick! Funding closes for this account soon."
Is that because I have a deadline to put in funding or are they withdrawing it soon do you think?0 -
You can only pay into the Beehive fixed rate bond while it is available, according to the T&Cs. I don't have one myself so can't comment from personal experience, but that might be a heads up that that particular issue is about to be withdrawn.thundyuk said:Oh, sorry one more thing I see this message in the fixed bond account (with £0 in at the moment)

From their fixed rate bond T&Cs...- Once this product has been withdrawn, you won’t be able to pay any more money into your account.
- Whilst the product is available, you can pay any amount into your account, up to a maximum account balance of £250,000.

Yes it’s legit but it’s app only (if that bothers you).1

You either have to apply for the account via Nottingham BS for branch/post management only or beehive for browser/app only.2
