Kids high pitched ringtone-interesting!
This has probably been mentioned before, but i had to give it a go...it's a ringtone kids are using in schools so the teacher's don't hear it and you aren't supposed to be able to hear it if you are over 30- i am 26 and couldnt hear it until the 4th attempt where it basically sounded like tinnitus, i can just hear it!:rotfl:
Who else can hear it and how old are you?

Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.

Yes, I'm 35 and it took me a number of goes and only then with my ear virtually on the computer! I was half expecting it to be one of the jokey things when a scary face pops up and screams! (The Xmas one on other post frightened me half to death the other night!)
Anyway, I suppose as with most things teenagers do, I'd rather not know they're doing it!:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
I can hear it perfectly , I am 31 and have ridden motorbikes for 13 years.
Kids are a bit thick if they think that is going to work, just put it on silent like most of us do anyway a quick buzz in your pocket is less likely to be heard imo. It's the perception of being able to get away with it that they think they like!.....0 -
LOL - originally marketed as a deterrent, pesky kids... http://www.bbc.co.uk/wiltshire/content/articles/2006/04/04/mosquito_sound_wave_feature.shtml0

one of my mates friends used this this in a classroom and forgot to change his text alert, so when he got a text his phone rung and he got it confiscated :rotfl:0

I'm a knackered 50 year old and can hear it clearly.
The sound probably wouldn't be audible more than 3 feet away in a noisy classroom environment though. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
It's not a good sign for me then-26 and I can only hear it with my ear on the full speaker with great concentration and it's barely audible. My 35 y/o bf can hear it as plain as day, but I have good hearing! argh!Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough.
