You really need to get this sorted before you start using your heaters again or it sounds like your last off peak hour may get charged at day rate if the meter peak/off peak tariff rate no longer matches the ALCS switch times.

Just an update.changed my tarrif back to sv on Thursday but new prices didn’t update till this morning but after a couple of weeks of display unit showing bars/ no bars and storage heater not matchingI didn’t ring as obviously they were doing something.however today is all back to normal storage heater now syncing to exact time as smart meter.weirdly at 6 this morning old fixed tarrif displaying but at 8.30 new tarrif showed and correct times for syncing storage heater so fingers crossed it’s sorted itself out .just hope time change in couple weeks doesn’t cause a glitch again.it hasn’t before in two years I’ve had it so fingers crossed.funnily enough they put the £75 exit fee on my account within 2 minutes !!when I swapped tarrif online🧐🤣

Double check with EDF about the exit fee. Many suppliers (and I thought EDF were included) do not charge the exit fee if you switch to another of their own tariffs, and only charge if you switch away to another supplier. You might get the exit fee credited back.

@Cazella How are you getting on with your smart meter and EDF? Are you still with EDF? I still have an old non-smart meter on Econ 7 but was hoping to fix. This will mean having a smart meter installed though! I was just reading on another thread it might mean I will no longer have my split times - (in winter that means low from 10:30-12:30 pm and then again from 2:30-7:30 am) but instead will have a block of 7 hours. This won't suit me at all! I have storage heaters so can't afford for EDF to mess up my bill!
