Strange email from Gladstones after notifying them of SAR request and 30 day suspension

OK so next steps are:
1) Actually follow up with SAR request by providing V5 etc
2) Read up on HHJ Murch ruling and prepare a defence using the Newbies thread
3) Do not reply to Gladstones email and wait for their next correspondence (or more likely an official Claim)
Is this correct?0 -
I would delay item 1 in that list.
You really don't want the parking company supplying greater details yet, as when you get a Claim you will be wanting to say that the claim has insufficient detail. Information returned as a result of a SAR will nullify that.2 -
OK, thank you. Should I do that in ~28 days then? Little bit confused.
Sent my email to UKCPM CPO on 02/06/2023 and they replied 13/06/2023 asking for documents to verify identity (driving license, V5C etc).
FYI I added the email that they sent today as a quote in the original post with all possible sensitive info redacted.0 -
Do that after you have filed a Defence - so some weeks/months away. As mentioned earlier, you want to be able to say in your Defence that the Claimant has supplied no information about the alleged parking event.TeddyRuxpin83 said:OK, thank you. Aside from that, any information returned as a result of the SAR will be far more useful at Witness Statement time.1 -
Don't even do a SAR. I will change the NEWBIES thread advice for LBC stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, I will not bother then. I did say in my email to Gladstones that I sent their client a SAR, hopefully that doesn’t affect anything.I will simply start researching/creating a defence using the info on the forum, thank you.0
