Hi
questions
Is there any tips or something I can do to ensure it worth a engineer visit to have fibre to house. I wanna try avoid being left without internet.
My contract is due to end in 17 days
I currently get 19mbps - Even though I game fair amount etc i never lagged etc but the price is naff am paying £46
I can pay £35 and get around 40 to 70 Mbps with BT on cabinet or if get fibre to home I can pay £45 for 500mbps
plus net is doing 500mbps for £35 - I would however like to have fibre to cabinet but when I rang then they totally avoided my question and started going on about fibre to home
Two things that's really peeked my interest - Plus net has perks that can reduce bills? Offers for brands etc ( has anyone ever used or is it worth it?)
Lastly plus net states it uses 100% renewable energy ( this part sounds very good), I not seen any other provider mention this
Am genuinely lost as to what to do . Looks forward to thoughts and or advice

You should be aware of this. BT wholesale have now stopped selling or transferring FTTC services, especially where FTTP is available in readiness for the PSTN switch off, so you may find that you cant swap unless you agree to move to FTTP

Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -
IF you're in an FTTP only area then FTTC is no longer available as a new installation, this is immaterial as to who you're with, though you may be able to keep it if you still have that.As for the renewably energy bit, well that's be what they control, which probably isn't a lot in the grand scale of the internet as a whole. The rest of the network from your master socket to the green box to wherever it goes is Openreach responsibility. The perks past and maybe present are here:Though they're only any good if you were going to buy anyway - if you have to buy something to get something else that's not a "perk" as such.1

You'll have to find some other way to get your internet connection.
