Mitsubishi Ecodan Heat Pump help needed please

    Good.

    I don't know much in detail about Ecodans as I don't have one.

    Even in things like televisions the capacitors are an issue, but the two really big ones in my heat pump are right near the cover and not that well shielded, it would be very easy to get a bang from them.

    The Daikin Altherma 3 monobloc is pretty neat and easy to fit, it's all in one unit. It is just the three electrical connections and a flow and return pipe. then there is just a programmer and room thermostat (a bit more than that) indoors. There are no pumps or anything else in the house and just one box outside.

    Although the initial installation is expensive I would say that replacement is really easy when the time comes.
  • We have a big isolator switch outside with our heat pump. Turn it to off and wait for discharge.
