in Credit cards
FYI
I was scammed. I have a Lloyds Credit Card. Hellofresh took money on 20/09/23 in two transactions, and again on the 27th in two transactions, nearly doubling the amount. I've contacted Fraud and am getting a new card and a refund.

What exactly makes you think this is a scam, or fraud, rather than a mistake? Are you a HelloFresh customer?N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

Have you spoken to Hello Fresh? I used to use them and their customer service was second to none. Any errors rectified immediately.1

Taking it you are a Hello Fresh Customer, given no mention to the contrary.
More likely that system duplicated transaction's.
I'm amazed fraud team are dealing with this, as this will come back with your details & you will be redebited.
Unless you do not have any dealings with them.Life in the slow lane0 -
We've had two hello fresh payments taken when we made an adjustment to the order one week to have more meals (change of plans).
Are you a hello fresh customer? And have you or a fellow account holder e.g. partner/spouse altered the order.0 -
If you are with HelloFresh, you need to go in there and ensure future deliveries are not queued up ready for shipment each week. If this is the case, you will be automatically debited if you don't check your account and pause/skip shipments.0

Agree with the above, that's exactly what will happen if you don't monitor your account.
Without account monitoring you can create complications.0 -
Apologies for the late reply. No, I have absolutely no association with HelloFresh. It is definitely a scam. My money has been returned by the Lloyds Credit Card.
Here another person has gone through a similar experience https://www.reddit.com/r/UKPersonalFinance/comments/16lrnhy/hello_fresh_taking_money_from_credit_card/?rdt=439160 -
It's not a scam, it's a fraudster using your card details.
Keep a eye on next statement as retailer can request new card details via visa/Mastercard systems. In reality this should not happen if Lloyds has proper fraud procedures, as part of that is to block this co from requesting new card details. But not all actually do this.Life in the slow lane0 -
Hello I have also been a victim of this Hello Fresh Credit Card Fraud.
I have had 13 payments over last month charged to my Lloyds Credit Card for Hello Fresh. I have never had an account with the company and I have never used the Credit Card - it is still sealed in the envelope from when I received it, and I have never activated it. My bank have agreed to refund the payments. I have contacted Hello Fresh to alert them to the fraud but have hit a brick wall, I keep being asked for an account number but they do not seem to understand that I do not have an account with them and I am hitting a stalemate. The bank cancelled the card and sent another one but before it even arrived in the post, someone had tried to use the new card online at Hello Fresh - fortunately the bank declined the payment.0 -
