Thames water bill for 4 years

I've just received an email from tw saying I've cancelled my direct debit.  The last payment was July 2019!  It's a very awkward situation because it's so hard to check back that far in my bank account.  I did think it was a scam but it seems genuine.  Can they do this?

Is the DD live now? Check with your bank, if the DD is cancelled it might still show the last payment.

Do you hve an online Thames Water account?

Ring bank they will tell you.

Ring bank they will tell you. 

Or just look at your online banking to see what active direct debits you have.

Your bills will tell you what you have paid too. Most utilities state your last payment and your owed bil
