Quick question, my new employer is to provide s company credit card - will I get credit checked ?
I have 2 x CCJ’s so I’m concerned that I’ll get refused and even lose my new job.

Generally no, unless employees have to apply for their own accounts.
Your employer will be able to tell you.1 -
Thanks - the company owner has asked for my date of birth to get the company credit card processed, and I’m panicking …0

You shouldn't be credit checked unless you've consented to a credit check. With corporate credit cards it is the company rather than the cardholder who is liable for the debt incurred.0

There will likely be a credit check for ID verification, it will be checking to see if you exist, but it will not be looking at the content of your credit report.
Just to check, the job is not in a sector which requires you do not have CCJs etc. as a condition of employment?0 -

AmEx do weird things with company credit cards and I believe do a full credit check. Never had one, they couldn't find the authorised person to do the application, but also they send you the bill to pay and only go to the company if its not paid on time.
Most likely it's an anti-money laundering / KYC check and that's all, but then if you cannot have one is it the end of the world? I've always refused one as I'd rather have a free choice of card and get the rewards I want from the business spending (that used to be very sizeable)0 -
Our last corporate AmEx was nothing like your experience @DullGreyGuy. Bill went to the company, not individual, had to fill in expenses to get it paid of course. The company I work for moved to Mastercard about 18 months ago, as I no longer travel I didn't apply for a new card.0

With my last non-AmEx card it just go paid automatically, I had to fill in my expenses naturally but payment of the card wasnt contingent on that. If I failed to do my expenses for a while they may block the card but they never risked late payment charges for an employee having not done paperwork.0 -

You might be conflating Corporate and Business Amex products here, there's a diff.
