LHR and December travel

Hi,
Looking to take a long haul holiday in December.
Best flight options are via a domestic BA flight into Heathrow and catching a BA international (Egypt).
Flight checkers coming up with just 1hr 30min layover time. Is this too tight a layover time. I am not sure if all BA flights use the same terminal.
Also I appreciate its going to busy over December but is there any issues I need to be aware off as I could be returning on the 22nd Dec or 28th Dec.
thanks

All BA flights use Terminal 5, 90 minutes is plenty of time. They suggest 60 as a minimum

Most, but not all BA flights are terminal 5. A few use terminal 3.
The problem you have is that short haul flights seem the first to be cancelled at the moment. So it would be good to have a back up plan.

If the flight is to Cairo it will be from T5. Domestic arrivals generally use this terminal also.1
-
Example, BA to Nairobi is terminal 3 in January 24, so not ALL BA flights are from T50

They use a short haul aircraft that doesn’t have the niceties of a long haul flight - TV screens and more importantly no food or drink unless you pay.1

We used BA in June flying out to Nuremberg and returning from Budapest and both flights used Terminal 3.
Best bet is to look at the Heathrow arrivals /departures website for a guide as this will show you which terminal is being used at the moment.1 -
The OPs booking confirmation (once booked) will also show him which terminals his flights are using....
The BA website certainly tells you before booking.1 -
The big question is it on one ticket or two....If a through ticket I would be okay with the transit time if separate tickets personally I would be stressed out.

I assume that your baggage will be checked through for you automatically?
If not, and you have to collect and recheck your baggage then 90 minutes may be a problem..Past caring about first world problems.1
