Hi Sarah , I'm new to your diary and have loved reading it . I also shop at Costco,  feel the meat , fish chicken is excellent quality and goes very far . The salmon portions are huge next to the supermarket ones ! I've been chopping up my berries into a bowl and feel I'm making the packs last a little longer if that helps .

God it's been a while again. I really need to try and get some constancy as being on here does help. When I come away is when things go wrong.

So what's happened in the last 6 weeks? I decided to bite the bullet and merge my credit cards to one. So only have barclaycard to focus on paying off which is 0% until November 2026.

I've given the garden a mini makeover, which included a mini greenhouse and I've started growing some veggies. I'm quite enjoying it and I love having flowers. I also got a bistro set for me to sit in the garden which I've been making the most of.

Work is manic as we are short staffed, but good news is that they are letting us do overtime. It's at basic rate but it all helps. It will only last as long as it takes to hire someone staff and train them. But looking at at least 3 months if not more I'd think. Do just trying to do what I can without exhausting myself.

Mortgage fixed rate is due to come to an end in June, have provisionally agreed to stay with HSBC at 3.84% for 5 years. But hoping the rate might drop again in June and I can get a slightly better rate before renewal is due. My rate is currently 4.24 so it's all an improvement either way. I did debate staying on 2 years but decided I wanted the certainty and not have to go through this hassle again in 2 years. Especially as I have decided to stay at my current property for now.

Taking a break from repaying my dad loan at the moment until my mortgage is sorted just in case I need to do an application. My gym membership also ends in June so that will free up some money towards it. Hoping to restart payments in July.
That’s a great rate on your mortgage 👍

Thanks I tend to chop my strawberries up and weigh them out to try make them go further. But figure there are also worse things I could be spending my money on.

I'm happy with it. Will review again in few weeks if changes. But general consensus seems to be 3.5 will be new norm

Back to work for me today, on a countdown to Friday as then I have the week off work.

Payslips are up, overtime is on it, so that's an extra £158 which is going in my savings for now. My car has it's MOT and service in July so I am saving up for that. Hopefully won't need much doing as passed with no advisories last year.

Sadly not going to have very much overtime pay next month as it's been a bit quiet on that front. I may speak to my manager and see if there's possibility to get more again.

Its office day tomorrow, will need to get some petrol on way home. But I'm going to try and put together a lunch for tomorrow rather than go to Tesco and buy a meal deal. Doesn't matter if its a picky one really. I quote enjoyed my tuna pasta salad for lunch today, maybe I'll make a chicken one for tomorrow and Thursday. I really want to try and get to weekend before I do another food shop if I can.

Happy Friday! I'm so pleased it's finally here as I'm off work now until 2nd June.

Budget is doing ok for the month, still on track. I have extra left in my travel fund as well but think I'll let that just keep building up ready for when football season starts again.

I need to be careful during my week off and make sure i dont have too many unnecessary expenses. But my plan is to use it for some catching up on vinted selling and household stuff. I do have a massage booked for Tuesday but that's all budgeted for.

I'm debating selling my switch, I've hardly used it. But I shall see how I feel in couple weeks.
