I was on it for about 16 weeks I think. I had really bad nausea, acid reflux, sulphur burps, stomach pain and constipation. Also constant horrid taste in my mouth due to all of the above.lucielle said:How long were you on them for? What were the side effects?

Merry Christmas @Sarahwithlove hope you have a lovely day. I love beach walks, I miss living near the sea.1

Thank you, hope you had a good day. I think it's something you take for granted until it's no longer there. I need to make time for it more often.Justcrackingonwithit said:Merry Christmas @Sarahwithlove hope you have a lovely day. I love beach walks, I miss living near the sea.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

I completely agree, I definitely took it for granted. But I live near a beautiful county park with a big pond, so I get my water fix in another way now!1

That sounds nice! I live near a country park with a pond as well as the sea so very lucky!Justcrackingonwithit said:I completely agree, I definitely took it for granted. But I live near a beautiful county park with a big pond, so I get my water fix in another way now!*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Happy new sofa day to me! Well it won't be delivered for 4 to 6 weeks but still I finally chose one. Not the most mse friendly but I opted for 0% finance for 4 years at £20 a month. I did consider paying outright but it would wipe my savings or putting on 0% card but again only have 12 months to pay it. This way I can make overpayments as and when able to but I think I'd be better off paying them off my mortgage or into savings. I have time to decide and my back will thank me as sofa bed really isn't comfy option long term.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Happy new sofa! I want to get new ones for us this year."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Happy new sofa day and happy 2025.
i think tweaking saving and spending pots is really helpful. I have some pots that are cumulative eg replacement appliances & tech stuff and others that are set for the month such as 'groceries". Any surplus from the monthly pots get transferred to a cumulative pot.
I am also trying to teach myself that the money in the monthly pots is a maximum not a target to aim for 🤷♀️1 -
Thanks. I'm excited for it!jwil said:Happy new sofa! I want to get new ones for us this year.
That's a good way to look at monthly pots. I switched to weekly spending which seems to be helping. I have been carrying it forward if I don't spend it but may need to look at other options. Hopefully once I have things under better control I might be able to aim for that.Blackcats said:Happy new sofa day and happy 2025.
