Hi there, first time poster here. Thought I'd share news of a PCN I successfully 'made go away' (technical term). It might give people some heart, if you're in a similar situation.
Few weeks back I receive a letter from DCBL relating to a PCN I supposedly received in 2021 (two years ago!) from their client, Total Parking Solutions, following a hotel stay. The amount they were after was an extortionate £350!
This was completely out of the blue, and by the looks of things on this forum... something very similar to what many others have experienced too.
Following advice from the Forum, I completely ignored this threatening letter and sent a strongly worded email to the hotel in question. I did some research and 'guessed' a couple of emails for the hotel general manager.
It seemed to work. Got a very polite response back saying they'd look into it. Couple of days later they assured me that the PCN had been 'sorted' and I wouldn't be receiving any more letters.
I have to say - similar to what loads of others have put - it was incredibly stressful to receive the threatening letter, which seemed 'official' and very 'serious'. I'm sure lots of people would panic and pay-up, even if like me you've done nothing wrong!
I'm glad I found this Forum. I hope this gives people encouragement.

Well done. Plan A - the landowner/retailer/hotel manager (etc) complaint - has worked again. Nice one. 👍Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
