You were expecting that weren't you?

Item 7 on that checklist you were following when you filed a Defence says...

Items 8, 9 and 10 on that list might be worth another read too.
  • Hi @hharry100
Is there any further news on your case as mine is very similar and looking for information on what to expect :-)

Flameboy76 I am currently at around step 7.

"Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire and the usual intimidating template letter saying they 'intend to proceed'. Nothing of interest there. Just file it.  YOU MAY HAVE TO WAIT TWO MONTHS OR SO FOR THE NEXT STEP TO HAPPEN:"

I will be filling in a
Claimant's Directions Questionnaire form and awaiting the next step.

I am sure you didn't mean to have the word 'Claimant's' in there.    ;)
  • Hi @hharry100 , do you have the final version of the defence after all the editing so we can use ? Also did you win ?

    You don't need it.

The Template Defence takes you to the version to use (direct link). You aren't meant to read this thread or search for it.

So I received this from courts who have allocated the claim to the small claims court and now require MET parking to pay the trial fee of £27 to proceed with there claim

All normal but obviously page 2 is the one that gives you your deadline.

It's a pity that DJ Avent didn't take the "Preliminary Matter" of the CEL v Chan appeal judgment into account before allocating the claim. This must now be re-introduced and highlighted in the WS.
