CIFAS marker on my file

GreenClementine I hope and trust that the team you mentioned are aware of the CIFAS situation, and might be able to contact Homelet and explain your vulnerabilities, they (Homelet) have a duty of care in such circumstances.0

There is another thread running on here somewhere where similar has happened. Homelet cannot verify some of the information they have been given therefore it must be a fraudulent application and a CIFAS marker is warranted. They do not seem to query the information provided, certainly need investigating.

Hi, yes I saw the other thread, and that person was adamant that their documents sent to Homelet were genuine. I also looked at Homelet's reviews on Trustpilot.com and there are so many people who've had terrible experiences with them.

Dear @GreenClementine
However vulnerable you are and however this is stressing you out, taking your own life due to a perhaps not even legitimate CIFAS marker is not worth it.
There is an explanation and there will be a solution to this. Don't jump to any conclusions and stress out about all the things you have concerns about. I am sure it won't be as bad as you now might think.
You came to this forum and there are really a great bunch of people here and there is so much help which is offered. I have benefited greatly from it and I am sure you can and will as well!
To pick up the phone and to speak with somebody is easier said than done but I think the right thing to do. I don't know you but I am a believer that we are all capable of so much more than we think we are. However bad things might be, there is always something which will make us stronger and wiser at the end.
So pick up the phone, reach out to friends, family or anybody really and I am sure you will get the support you need for your mental health and well-being and to deal with the potential marker as well. And, even if the marker is for whatever reason legitimate, you are not the first one receiving one and you won't be the last one.
If there is a will, there is a way and I am sure you are much stronger and can fight this if you try to believe in yourself even just a very little bit! You will get through this I am sure and will be able to sort it all having a bank account and a nice flat, but taking you life is definitely not and will never be a solution.

It should be illegal for companies to add CIFAS markers just because they "don't think x is genuine". They should have solid evidence.

Will even my savings account be closed down?

Have you contacted CIFAS yet about the marker to see what it is and what can be done about it?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
