Mass way to close down current accounts?

Hi,
I have been looking on my credit file and I have noticed current accounts open with nearly every bank since the early 90s, all inactive but green ticks each month. I only use one of them.
Is there any way to close them en-masse, many of them have different addresses and I do not know the account, sort code or roll numbers to most of them.
Thanks

You could commit some sort of fraud, enough to get you a CIFAS markercelesp said:Is there any way to close them en-masse
But, less flippantly, the short answer is no, you'll need to contact each bank individually, armed with enough information to identify you....4 -

It's very helpful And it'll give you your sort code & account numbers without which wandering into a bank and saying "I have an account with you I'd like to close" could take Hours per bank. Whereas some will let you close with a downloaded form. Being the trusting sort, I'd ask for a current balance on all of them first, as well as the current rate of interest and then get stuck into closing them...gt94sss2 said:0 -
the best way is to initiate a switch for each account that will take care of transferring anything in the account and closing it down at the same time4

Once you have that, I'd at least try a switch into your active account and tick you don't have a debit card. Many of them will probably go through even if some decline due to mismatched addresses or other concerns. Then at least there's a more limited number that need to be approached for closure.DigForVictory said:

But doesn't work if, as the OP has said, the sortcode and account number aren't know (and with roll number mentioned I'd guess there are Building Society accounts too that may well not be part of CASS anyway).

I know 4 accounts with sort codes and account numbers, There is only one I don't know now and I am trying to find through emails etc.km1500 said:the best way is to initiate a switch for each account that will take care of transferring anything in the account and closing it down at the same time
How would I go about doing the switch, I looked on the website but I have only seen that when I have moved to a new bank?0
