Sounds like you are simply seeing a neighbours wireless network.
Wouldnt worry about it.0 -
Did you secure your wireless network? If not anyone can change it and use your bandwidth. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Well in your first post you say that you were not connected to the net, when you view available wireless networks, is yours encrypted? e.g. WPA:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

I think you are picking up someone else's unsecured network. Can you right click on the connection icon, and there should be an option along the lines of "view all available networks". Select this, then when the list of networks come up, select your own and connect on this. It should say on the list which networks are secured and which aren't. If yours isn't maybe you need to have b-i-l come round for a Christmas drink and secure it for you (a 2 min job I think)0 -
you can crack most wifi encription in under 3 mins so even if it was secured it doesnt matter.
i would personaly take the opertunity to mess with their system but thats just me beeing nasty.0 -
Can see this post going off on a tangent!
As long as the OP can connect to his/her own network and it is secured. It isn't worth bothering about any other networks in range.0 -
well i think im secure.. i have a padlock against mine and stewie doesnt whoever stewie is.
im lucky i can switch the pc on let alone have a fiddle with other people's systems lol
thanks guysIt only seems kinky the first time.. :A0
