Typical. On the very day I got my money out of another fixed term it gets withdrawn
Interestingly the link says how postal applications will still be processed for a reasonable amount of time

You could throw one of those in and hope they accept it.
Does anyone have the postal application form downloaded please?
Not sure how long the link will last for but try:

Got in earlier this week. Was going to wait until Monday when a notice account matures. But decided to raid my easy access funds instead and use the notice account funds to replenish the easy access account next week
Me too. I raided my savings accounts to the tune of 150k as I’m waiting for a house sale to go through that has been delayed … again! I figured that I can cancel in 30 days if the house sale still isn’t sorted as I can’t tie my easy access savings up long term. Not wanting to cancel but at least I have that option.

Hi, all thanks for all your message and advice. I was fully aware of the T&C when I signed for this product. I am willing to pay a penalty for withdrawing early like I have done with other service providers.
Which (non-ISA) products have allowed you to do that?

As we still haven’t exchanged on a simple house sale (5 months and counting) I sadly need to consider cancelling some of my bonds to release the cash.

You'll be able to cancel your new Bond within 30 days of the date you receive your investment record. We'll then refund the full value of your Bond with any interest due. This will be the only opportunity to cancel - after the cancellation period you can't withdraw money until the end of the investment term.

I have 5 bonds that all show under messages and emails on 3rd October even though they were taken out over a 3 day period. Does that mean that the 30 days ends on the same day for them all and is it 1st or 2nd November? Want to leave it until the final day due to there being an outside chance of exchanging early next week (our new new deadline) in which case I’m ok to tie the money up for a year. Thanks!

In theory, I would imagine that any bonds bought on different days should all have different dates for the 30 day deadline, provided the online debit card payments all went though immediately.

In terms of emails - in my case, the date I received the 'receipt for debit card transaction' email is the same as the starting date of my bond but you really need to check your NS&I online banking account, where the starting date (in terms of day and month) will be the same as the maturity date for each bond. Once you've pin-pointed the starting date, then you can work out exactly when your 30 day deadline is for each bond.

I would not rely on the date of the 'we've opened your Guaranteed Growth Bond' email as (in my case at least) that arrived a day or so later.

Because this is NS&I we're talking about, I would personally not risk leaving it until the last possible day because if there is a problem with your online banking (such as experiencing the log-in problems often mentioned on here) or if there is any ambiguity over the exact date and/or you get it wrong and miss it by a day, then you won't be able to access that money for any reason, including a house purchase.

Thanks. I definitely don’t want to miss the deadline so will cancel the earliest one today as it was taken out on 30th Sept. Just a bit annoying that the cancellation date isn’t clearly specified in correspondence.

If you think about it, it wouldn't be in their interests to do that as they actually want to keep hold of your money for the full year - if they highlighted the 30 day deadline and reminded you about it, it might have lead to more people using it as a 30 day bond with a really high interest rate.

I seem to remember there was a 'cash in' or cancel option of some kind within online banking - this option has been removed for my bond, so presumably it disappears once you pass the deadline.

As the 30th Sept was a Saturday and therefore a weekend purchase, this maybe might account for emails for more than one of your bonds arriving together due to a weekend delay ?
