I guess I maybe should have said I'd presume the start date would be that same day, mainly based on just how quickly the bonds appeared in my account.

Because this is the NS&I we're talking about though, it probably wouldn't pay to open a bond on a specific day if precise timing (particularly when it comes to getting your money at maturity) was critical !

Link to this bond isn't working for me and I cannot see it on the NS&I site. Has it been withdrawn.

Looks like it, I was just checking my interest on an old GIB and noticed that the GIB and Growth Bonds were not in the menu and following my own bookmark to the pages gives a 403 broken link.

Got in earlier this week. Was going to wait until Monday when a notice account matures. But decided to raid my easy access funds instead and use the notice account funds to replenish the easy access account next week

You could throw one of those in and hope they accept it.
