I suppose I'm going to waste 90 minutes to take some photos of the signage? 

Nope.

It's too late to appeal so no point gathering photos at this stage, but you need to stop sending template and just email back and ask for:

- what is the allegation?

- are they relying on the POFA 2012?

- please show the contract (readable photos of the signage).

That will help your position.

Plan A is still your best option, a complaint to the landowner and your MP.

Go on to the PE website to see if there are any other photos of your car. It is possible that this was caused by an ANPR misread, and it wasn't your car at all.
Check dashcam footage and smartphone location data for both you and your wife, and anyone else who has use of the vehicle to see where they were at the time of the alleged event.
If your 'phones were elsewhere then on the balance of probabilities, you were elsewhere as well, which supports the ANPR scamera failure theory.

What happened on the day? What went wrong? You didn't know about a hidden VRM keypad?

The alleged parking event was less than three months ago.
Are you really saying you can't remember a Friday evening that far back?

Yes, I genuinely do not remember being there, nor does my wife. I have never ever in my life attended any events in that place, what was I supposed to do there for 32 minutes so late in the evening. 

Should I write to the local Watford MP to complain? Is there a special template for that? I couldn’t see anything in the NEWBIE section.

I already sent an email to the club asking to check CCTV in detail and cancel the PCN.

Just search the forum for MP parking complaint or similar.  We explain what to put pretty much every week...and why MPs are interested in this politically topical issue.

I've written two replies explaining this, today alone!

Is it local enough that it might be your car?  Do you think it might not be? Don't assume it was. Could be an ANPR misread and they've enhanced the VRM incorrectly by one digit.
