Hi guys,
We've been away on holiday for most of July and August. On our return I found some correspondence from Parkingeye as follows:
05/07/2023 - PCN
14/07/2023 - PCN Reminder
08/08/2023 - Parking Charge
23/08/2023 - LBCC
On 04/09 I sent the following appeal:

On 13/09 they sent the following reply:

What other options do I have left?
I genuinely don't remember being at that location, it's about 45 minutes from where I live. My wife also drives the car, so I'm not the only driver. The photos provided don't actually show a car, but only a number plate as it seems it was extremely dark, being recorded at 21:48 for 32 minutes.
Thanks a lot!

Plan A in the NEWBIE stick is to complain to the landholder; was it a shop/supermarket/hospital/pub? Try a complaint.1

Re-read the Newbies/FAQ thread, second post. It explains fully what you now need to do regarding the LoC.1
-
Is the LoC from PE or have they handed it to one of the scamming solicitors? What is the location? I don't see any signage at the entrance warning drivers that they are about to enter private land and that terms apply.
THere appears to be a sign on the left as you approach but it is angled away from the driver.1 -

That LoC should be robustly rebutted. They have not even stated exactly what they are going to claim. Hopefully, if they do proceed to issue a claim, their PoC are equally sparse on detail of the actual terms you allegedly breached.
ALso, it is interesting to see that they are fully committed to adding spurious charges to the £100 charge which should also be responded to and asking for a detailed breakdown of those "costs", especially the "additional fee" which is not even explained.1 -
Ah... the Metropolitan Police Sports Club in Aldenham Road, Bushey, Herts, WD23 2TR...
As a sign at the entrance shows...
So the Police are using a private parking company.
(but no doubt the sports club is run by a company at arms length from the Metropolitan Police).
Does the DLUHC need to know about this link between ParkingEye and The Metropolitan Police?1 -

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I'll be submitting a SAR with PE, NEWBIES FAQ Announcement section makes a reference to the form on their privacy page here: https://www.parkingeye.co.uk/privacy-policy
Should I email to enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk rather than submitting the form at the bottom? That seems to be very generic.0
