Does MCOL show the claim as being discontinued?aj54 said:
Still haven't received a notice of discontinuance - do these things usually take a while to come through the post? Is it worth chasing DCBL or is that a lost cause?Castle said:
Have you received a notice of discontinuance, (N279)? if not, the claim is still "live".aj54 said:Just wanted to update you on this - DCBL have closed the file.
They asked for evidence that Parkmaven had told me no further action would be taken. Sent them a screenshot of the email, case dropped.
Of course, no apology for the time, stress and harassment! If only there was a way to get reimbursed for it all!
Anyway, thanks so much to everyone who helped, particularly coupon-mad. You're all doing a brilliant job!0 -

Asked for it, got this in response -Coupon-mad said:Reply and ask for a copy of the Notice of Discontinuance.
Not sure I like having this as the only written proof they won't be continuing...0 -
Tell them that is unacceptable unless they respond with an undertaking that neither they not their client will take any steps at a later date to lift the stay.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad. I have replied, and they have got back to me. Here are both response -Coupon-mad said:Tell them that is unacceptable unless they respond with an undertaking that neither they not their client will take any steps at a later date to lift the stay.

It doesn't sound like they're willing to do anything else.0 -
Is it Parkmaven? Send a complaint by email to them. State that you are not happy that their 'law' firm refused to supply a Notice of discontinuance but have said "no action will be taken". That's not good enough because stayed cases can later have a stay lifted. Thus, your complaint is that you want confirmation in writing/email, stating that the PCN and the claim are cancelled and an undertaking that the stay will not be lifted. As discovered by @Fruitcake on his thread, a complaint can be made in writing via email:
Email: support@parkmaven.com
